Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies with Melted Butter Recipe

Little chocolate chip cookies made with a whisk in one bowl. This is the perfect recipe for a few chocolate chip cookies without a hand mixer. 

– 50 g butter preferably european but you can use american – 65 g brown sugar light or dark: NOT organic – 1 large egg yolk – ¼ tsp baking soda – 1 tsp pure vanilla extract – ¼ tsp fine sea salt – 75 g all purpose flour – 60-80 g semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips depending on taste preferences or chopped chocolate (use greater amount if you like a cookie packed with chocolate) – Sprinkle of sea salt if desired




Melt the butter in a heatproof bowl. You can do this in the microwave, but don't go too far and let the butter splatter all over the microwave; you'll lose valuable grams of butter

STEP  1 .

Very carefully whisk in the sugar until the mixture sticks together and is shiny. After that, add the baking soda, vanilla, and salt. This time, add the egg yolk and whisk it in very well.

Do this for about 60 seconds. First add the flour, then the chocolate. Place the bowl in the fridge for 30 minutes with the plastic wrap on top.

This will make the dough stronger. You can also leave it in the fridge overnight. Get the oven to 350 F.

On top of a small baking sheet that has been greased, there ought to be parchment paper placed. "Don't bake right on the pan."

The cookies should be removed from the oven once they have reached the desired level of doneness, and then they should be cut into six equal pieces.

all the way up until the point where the edges begin to turn golden and the middles begin to take shape.
