Easy Shrimp Salad Recipe with Old Bay

An easy, flavorful Old Bay-seasoned prawn salad recipe ready in 15 minutes! This refreshing meal, quick lunch, or appetiser can be served on croissant rolls, fresh lettuce, or crackers!


– 2 pounds large shrimp (31-35 per pound) peeled and deveined, thawed if frozen – 1 ½ teaspoons Old Bay seasoning – ¼ cup mayonnaise – ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt – 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice – ¼ cup celery, finely chopped – ¼ cup green onion, finely chopped – 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped – Butter lettuce leaves or rolls for serving


First, cook the prawns. You can boil them or steam them. Put water in a big pot and bring it to a boil. After you add the prawns, cook for one to two minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.

Drain them and let them cool down completely. Add the Greek yoghurt, old bay seasoning, and lemon juice to a large bowl and mix them together to make the dressing.

Place the celery, green onion, fresh dill, shrimp, and salt and pepper in a bowl. Add the dressing and mix everything together until it's all covered.

Serve low-carb prawn salad in lettuce leaves or as a sandwich on rolls or bread. For extra flavour and freshness, garnish with dill. Covered prawn salad lasts 2 days in the fridge.
