CIAMBELLA RECIPE

Ciambella is a traditional Italian breakfast treat that's made with just a few simple ingredients. This ring-shaped cake is flavored with lemon zest and perfect served with a cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredient 

– 3 cups all-purpose flour – 3 large egg – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1/2 cup milk – 1/2 cup vegetable oil – Zest of 1 lemon – 1 tablespoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a ciambella mold or a bundt pan to prevent sticking.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until creamy and pale in color.

Add the milk, vegetable oil, lemon zest, and vanilla extract to the egg mixture. Mix until well combined.

Sift in the flour and baking powder gradually, stirring until the batter is smooth and no lumps remain.

Pour the batter into the prepared ciambella mold or bundt pan, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove the ciambella from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, carefully transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the ciambella with powdered sugar if desired.
