Breaded Fried Pork Chops Recipe

The pork chops are expertly seasoned, coated in a crispy flour and egg layer, and fried until golden brown. This recipe will be a family favourite with its delicious texture and flavour. 

Ingredient

– 4 boneless pork chops (if using bone-in pork chops, increase cooking time by 2-3 extra minutes per side) – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 2 eggs, beaten – Salt and black pepper to taste – ¼ teaspoon garlic powder – ¼ teaspoon onion powder – ¼ teaspoon paprika – ¼ teaspoon dried thyme (optional) – Vegetable oil, canola oil, peanut oil for frying

Direction

To dry pork chops, pat them with paper towels. Place chops between two plastic wrap sheets or parchment paper and pound with a meat mallet to thin to ½ to ¾-inch thickness.

Step 1

Season both sides of each pork chop with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme (if using), and paprika. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Breading Station: Spread all-purpose flour in a shallow dish. In another shallow dish, beat eggs. Dredge the Pork Chops: Rub both sides of each chop in flour and shake off excess. Coat the floured pork chop in beaten eggs.

Bread the Pork Chops: Press the egg-coated pork chop into the flour to coat it well. Repeat with all pork chops on a plate. In a large cast-iron skillet or frying pan, heat enough vegetable oil to submerge the pork chops halfway. 

Step 4

Heat oil to 350-375°F (175-190°C). Add the breaded pork chops to the hot oil one at a time, being careful not to flood the pan. Cook each side for 3-5 minutes until crispy and golden. Flip pork chops with tongs to cook both sides. 

Step 5

When pork chops are golden brown and cooked through, drain excess oil on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve Warm: Serve crispy breaded pork chops with your favourite sides.
